Message Stopped by the shop today to help clean out my engine bay while the plenum is out. It's the worst part of the car...with a huge gaping GTZ-R and no splash guard, I literally have dirt and sand everywhere (not good!). I wish I had some after pics...but it wont all be done until Thursday anyway and I'll get some Friday.

After a successful compression test (175-180 all around), the green light is lit for everything I wanted done. Here are some pics from the day.

Went ahead and picked up some more things from the polishing place...man they rock. This is everything going in. I wont do anything more than this since A) it was all out anyway and B) I got a hell of a deal.

I'm really glad someone convinced me to do the water pipes...I wanted to replace the timing cover plastic anyway.

Seb started painting some things for me today. It's a really clean red with a slight metallic flake in it that you can't see in the pics.

And the matching balance tube. The strut tower ends and throttle cable cover will be done soon.

This is the last time my engine bay will ever be this dirty...the paint is just filthy and every hose is covered in crap. Red hoses will go in with the plenum and lots of rerouting to be done. I'm not going to get into every crevace and go nuts...but it will surely look better than it used to! Wish I could think of an easier way to clean the hood.

As a bonus...I snapped this pic of Greg's new shoes...he says the car just GRIPS and I believe it. If all goes well I'll have some pics/video from Carlsbad Raceway this weekend as he's running the beast.

Later,
Ryan
